In 1961 in Textile Technical School was created potter’s team of cave-explorers which was interested in speleology. In august 1966 they established name of Club: Touristic Team “Bobry” (“Beavers”). In 1974 Club was registered in Polish Alpinism Union. The expedition to Austria (1981) brought one of the greatest success in history of the Club: they explored cave P-14 “Hades”(-455 m.), which appeared then it was one of the deepest well in the world. First winter expedition to the Tennengebirge in 1986, in spite of the bed condition, it reached siphon in Meander Cave in depth –1028 m. This success fell in twentieth anniversary of the Club. By 40 years activity expeditions happened to many country European (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain...), America (Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Venezuela, Mexico..), Africa (Maroc, Kenya, Tanzania..), Asia (Turky, Vietnam, Nepal, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhasia..). We reached “the bottom of the earth” in the deepest actually cave of the world – Krubera-Voronia (-2080 m) in masive Arabica in Abkhasia. And there’ll be many expeditions to Poland- the end can’t be seen... |
